Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following qualification criteria:

Option 1:

1. BDS or equivalent Dental Qualification: Registered/recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
2. Postgraduate Qualification: MDS (Pak), M.Phil., FCPS, or other equivalent postgraduate qualifications recognized/registered by the PMDC in the respective subject.
3. Teaching Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and credit for original research work published in standard Dental/Medical Journals.

Option 2:

1. BDS or equivalent Dental Qualification: Registered/recognized by the PMDC.
2. Postgraduate Minor Diploma: In the relevant subject recognized by the PMDC.
3. Teaching Experience: Three years as Lecturer/Demonstrator in a Dental Teaching Institution before or after postgraduate qualification.
4. Research Work: Credit for original research work published in standard Dental/Medical Journals.

Option 3:

1. BDS or equivalent Dental Qualification: Registered/recognized by the PMDC.
2. Experience: Without any postgraduate qualification, seven years’ experience as Demonstrator in the relevant subject.
3. Research Work: Credit for original research work published in standard Dental/Medical Journals.

Note: Candidates with a postgraduate diploma in the respective subject will only be considered if those with higher qualifications (MDS) are not available.

Age Limit

• 27 to 40 years: The upper age limit does not apply to candidates already in Government Service with at least three years of service.

Gender

• Both male and female candidates are eligible.

Application Procedure in BPSC

Submission of Applications

• Online Application: All applications for initial recruitment in BPS-16 and above must be submitted online through the BPSC’s website www.bpsc.gob.pk. No hard copy of the online application is required from the applicants.
• Offline Application: Applicants without internet access may submit their applications on the prescribed form, which must reach the Balochistan Public Service Commission, Quetta, by hand or by mail on or before the closing date, i.e., 20th August 2024.

Application Fee

• Amount: Rs. 1200/- for BPS-18 posts.
• Payment Method: The amount should be deposited in the State Bank/National Bank of Pakistan only in the province of Balochistan or a Government Treasury authorized to transact business on behalf of the Government of Balochistan. The Head C02101 ORGAN OF STATE EXAM.FEE RECEIPT BPSC should be used with the relevant RCO/District-wise Code in Challan.

General Instructions

• Original Documents: Candidates must bring original documents, including CNIC and Treasury Receipt, at the time of the Screening/Written Test.
• Roll No Slips: These will be dispatched to candidates’ postal addresses and also available on the BPSC website.
• Notification: Candidates will be notified via SMS and advised to frequently visit the BPSC website for updates.
• No Extra Time: No extra time will be allowed for postal transit.
